“A race car driver will always have an issue driving within the speed limit around town.”

No stranger to hosting high society club nights and parties at unique locations across Singapore, The Podium Lounge’s CEO and Founder Robbie Hoyes-Cock moves at breakneck speed.

The maverick of the nightlife entertainment industry is also Director of The Singapore International Jazz Festival. With the most glamourous celebration of Singapore’s iconic Formula 1 night race under his belt, Robbie breezes into The Podium Lounge’s tenth consecutive year with ease. Once again, it is here to embrace the fervency of the annual Formula 1™ Singapore Airlines Grand Prix.

Robbie: Back in 2009, I started The Podium Lounge in Singapore at the age of 28. Now, having three awesome young kids, still doing what I love and growing the brand internationally to Monaco, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi, it’s pretty surreal. To think I got a Law Degree at University, how useful that has been, not!

R: Exceptional execution from the production to servicing VIP tables, introducing exhilarating entertainment that keeps our guests talking for months after the event, as well as creating an unrivalled destination experience for the racing community and celebrities from around the world during the Grand Prix season.

R: Leading vocalists from much loved boy bands Boyzone and Westlife are joining forces for a very special concert on the opening night of The Podium Lounge on Friday, 14 September.

Performing the biggest hits from their bands’ back catalogues, Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden are bringing their Boyzlife Tour to Singapore for the very first time over the 2018 Singapore Grand Prix.

As well as singing, the pair also promises to lift the lid on the highs and lows of their road to stardom, and the pros and cons of life in the spotlight. These lifelong friends will perform classics such as “No Matter What”, “Love Me for a Reason”, “You Raise Me Up” and “Flying Without Wings”.

We’re also bringing an Australian Burlesque Dance Troupe with aerialists and roving musicians, an incredible F1 memorabilia auction with proceeds to a local charity, and an art exhibition by the UK’s hottest contemporary artist, Lincoln Townley.

R: We have a very powerful relationship with NBC Universal and E! News in particular. Yvette does wonders on our red carpet, interviewing headline musicians and guest celebrities. Her elegance, combined with a bubbly character and great understanding of the who’s who in the F1 Paddock makes it super easy for her to host the stars entering The Podium Lounge.

COMPLETE THE SENTENCES.

R: A banker or a lawyer. I joined Citibank Singapore on their Management Associate Training Programme when I was 23, and read Law at Bristol University.

R: Incredible music, fashion, celebrities and partying harder than the rest of the year!

R: An issue driving within the speed limit around town.

R: in Abu Dhabi. F1’s record-breaking, four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel chose the star-studded Podium Lounge, held at the marina rooftop pool of the Yas Viceroy Hotel, to continue celebrations after winning the title and a 1-2 for Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull Racing then invited the majority of the F1 Paddock to join the post-race party at The Podium Lounge with Vettel’s team of mechanics, engineers, management and friends. These included racing legends Damon Hill, David Coulthard, Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Jordan, Gil de Ferran and other personalities like Sky Sports F1 presenters Simon Lazenby and Natalie Pinkham; Chairman of Sky, Nicholas Ferguson CBE; Princess Deborah Murrat, HI&RH Archduchess Eleonore Habsburg; English TV presenter Vanessa Feltz, and soccer legend Diego Maradona, just to name a few.

That was an incredible night! As the very first international Podium Lounge event, it really did help set us up on the international F1 circuit.

R: We’re constantly evolving the brand, growing our entertainment line-up and venues to host record attendances each year. We’re never sitting still. It’s all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and delivering a world-class event to supermodels, celebrities, royalty, F1 drivers and legends, musicians and the jet-setting party elite wherever we go.
